Gardaí examine site of body find in Wicklow
Gardaí have begun a forensic examination this morning of the area where a body believed to be that of a man previously reported as missing was found in Wicklow.
Twenty-six-year-old Stephen O'Meara has not been seen since he left his home in Rosehill in the county on August 6.
Gardaí searching for Mr O'Meara discovered a body in a wooded area in Ballydonnell near Red Cross in Wicklow yesterday afternoon at 2.30pm.
The father-of-three had been missing for more than four months from his Wicklow home.
The scene was sealed off and a team from garda forensics arrived at 7am this morning to carry out an examination. A post mortem will be carried out on the remains tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a man in his twenties is still being questioned in connection with Mr O'Meara's disappearance. He was arrested earlier this week and is being held at Wicklow garda station.
