Gardaí arrest three as they try to rob cash machine
Three men are in Garda custody following an attempted ATM robbery in Castleisland County Kerry early this morning.
A number of men had been trying to rip the machine from the wall of the AIB bank on the town's Main Street at 5am when Gardaí came across the scene.
Two men in their 20's were arrested just outside the town following a Garda pursuit.
Gardaí arrested a third man - also in his 20's - in Listowel in a follow-up operation.
The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination.
