Gardaí have arrested four people in a drugs raid in Dublin.

Gardaí searched two flats in the South Circular Road/Rialto area of Dublin, yesterday afternoon and found weapons as well as cannabis and heroin.

The gardaí from Kevin Street Drug Unit and from Kilmainham arrested three men and a woman after they seized the drugs and a 9mm handgun, a sawn off shotgun and ammunition.

The cannabis and heroin may have a street value of €15,000.

The three men, aged in their mid 30s, and the 29-year-old woman are being detained.

Two of the men are detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Kevin Street Garda Station.

The third man and the woman are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939/98 and are at Kilmainham and Irishtown Garda Stations.
