Gardaí appeal for information after finding men's bodies in Cavan

Gardaí investigating the disappearance of two Dublin men have appealed to the public for information.

32-year-old Eoin O'Connor and 33-year-old Anthony Keegan from Coolock had travelled to Cavan on April 22.

The bodies of two men were discovered during the search of an island on Lough Sheelin yesterday, but have yet to be formally identified.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen a Grey Ford Focus registration 04 D 46380 on the road or in the vicinity of Lough Sheelin near Mount Nugent between April 20 and 25 or anywhere close to the Cavan/Meath border.

They are also appealing for anyone who may have been fishing or sailing on the lake on April 22 and 23, or who may have been walking on the shoreline on those dates to contact them.
