Former Clery's workers will protest outside the Department of Jobs today.
It is now almost six months since the shop closed its doors and employees have yet to have a meeting with new owners Natrium on their circumstances.
Hundreds of people lost their jobs when Clery's closed down in June and workers are calling on the Government to change the law to force companies to talk with employees before shutting up shop.
SIPTU's Robert Purfield has said they are determined to prevent a repeat of the situation.
"People are still upset," he said.
"They haven't had a meeting with Natrium, which they've called for since day one when the store closed and we called for ourselves through the union.
"But the whole point of the protest later on today is to make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else.
"There's a degree of acceptance among people that what has happened has happened to them, but we've a very determined bunch of workers here that want to see Minister Bruton change the law.
"For want of a better phrase, we're looking for a Clery's Clause in law, to make sure this doesn't happen again."
