Flanagan: Ireland on alert over Paris attacks

The Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan has said the Department of Justice has legislation on standby to show a zero tolerance approach to any act of terrorism against the State.

Flanagan added Ireland remains on alert and the Justice Minister will also meet with the Garda Commissioner for an update on the jihadist threat to Ireland.

The comments come as French security forces are mobilising in their search for what the French prime minister called a “probable” accomplice to three days of bloodshed and terror around Paris.
