Firearms seized as gardaí raid premises in Lucan

Gardaí seized a firearm, firearm components, ammunition and suspected stolen jewellery in Dublin yesterday evening.

The seizure was made following the planned search of a premises in Lucan, Co Dublin at approximately 5.30pm.

It was part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs within the Dublin North Inner City area by gardaí from the DMR North Central Divisional Drug Unit based at Store Street

A 35-year-old man was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
