The family of an 81-year-old Dublin man, who has been missing for over a week now, is appealing to the public for help in tracing his whereabouts.

The family of an 81-year-old Dublin man, who has been missing for over a week now, is appealing to the public for help in tracing his whereabouts.

Thomas Kennedy was last seen near his home in Virginia Park in Finglas last Tuesday evening.

Gardaí had originally issued an appeal for Mr Kennedylast Wednesday.

Volunteers have been searching the city and beyond for the pensioner with more searches planned at various locations this evening.

His daughter-in-law Claire says searches were also carried out in Wexford and Arklow in County Wicklow.
