Family renew appeal for information on woman missing for 18 years

The family of missing Kildare woman Deirdre Jacob have renewed their appeals for information.

18-year-old Deirdre disappeared this day 18 years ago in 1998.

She was a trainee teacher and had returned to her home in Newbridge from London at the time of her disappearance.

Her father Michael asked anyone who may have information to come forward.

He said: "This is a very timely time if there is someone with information, because the Gardaí are doing a complete review of Deirdre's case.

"That means a team of people are going through all the questionnaires, all the interviews that were collected at the time, reviewing all the searching that was done."
