Fallen tree kills man in Co Tipperary

A young man has been killed by a fallen tree in Co. Tipperary, in what is reported to be the first fatality of the stormy weather.

A young man has been killed by a fallen tree in Co Tipperary, in what is reported to be the first fatality of the stormy weather.

The incident happened shortly before 9am this morning on the Killenaule road near Coolmore.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

Emergency services are still at the scene and the road will be closed for a number of hours.
