Expert brands Climate Change Bill 'toothless'
The Environment Minister's new Climate Change Bill has been described as 'toothless' by experts.
The Bill, which is published today, is not expected to include any binding targets for emission reductions nor any independent commission to ensure government compliance.
Professor John Sweeney of NUI Maynooth says time to tackle climate change is running out.
He says the government needs to lead the way or else we'll pay the price.
