Exam students begin day two

Day two of the State exams gets underway today.

Leaving Cert students will sit Engineering in the morning and English Paper 2 in the afternoon, while Junior Cert pupils will sit Irish.

Almost 120,000 students will take the exams over the next two weeks.

Ian Power of SpunOut.ie, has said it is important to keep things in perspective: “So you’re heading into day two and I suppose the main point at this stage is you have so much work already done.

“This is a marathon, not a sprint so if you are feeling a bit stressed, try not to cram.

“Try to get a good night’s sleep during your exams and make sure you know your timetable and plan to get to each exam a little bit early.”
