Ex-FF Minister undertaking national tour to emphasise importance of voting
Former Tánaiste and Education Minister Mary O'Rourke is to undertake a nationwide tour informing people why they should cast their vote in the European Election next May.
She will hold a Europe Direct Information Centre seminar in Portlaoise on Monday, January 27, followed by another in Galway on Thursday, January 30.
She will also visit Bundoran, Mallow, Tubbercurry and Dundalk next month.
Ms O'Rourke said people need to understand how their vote elects an MEP which in turn determines legislation for all of Europe.
