A 77-year-old woman died in hospital this morning after she was hit by a bus.

A 77-year-old woman died in hospital this morning after she was hit by a bus.

Gardaí said the accident happened yesterday in Dublin Road, Renmore, Galway, at around 12.40pm.

She was taken to University College Hospital, Galway, where she died from her injuries.

Gardaí in Galway are investigating.
