The Government is preparing to launch a new electronic voting system this week despite widespread criticism from opposition parties.
The Green Party has described the system as seriously flawed and has called on Environment Minister Martin Cullen to make it more transparent.
Party leader Trevor Sargeant said: “All the opposition parties have identified flaws in the Government proposal, and it needs to be addressed before it can be brought into effect, if the minister is going to avoid legal challenges and enjoy any kind of public confidence.”
