The pre-trial of the men accused of the murder of Michaela McAreavey will get underway in Mauritius today.

The pre-trial of the men accused of the murder of Michaela McAreavey will get underway in Mauritius today.

It is to determine who can be called as witnesses in the full trial which is expected to be held later this summer.

The 27-year-old teacher and daughter of Tyrone football manager Mickey Harte was killed while on honeymoon on the Indian Ocean island in January, 12 days after getting married to footballer John McAreavey.

Two hotel workers are charged with Ms McAreavey's murder and are expected in court later today.
