Creighton: Reform Alliance agenda is to disrupt 'politics as usual'

Lucinda Creighton has said that the Reform Alliance will work with anybody who is trying to change politics in Ireland.

The former Fine Gael TD spoke at the end of the group's conference in the RDS this afternoon, which drew over 1,000 people.

Deputy Creighton was interrupted with a standing ovation when she discussed the way the group's members voted on last year's abortion bill.

She says the group's quest is to try and disrupt what she called 'politics as usual':

"I simply want to make another pledge to you today, which is to bring your ideas, your policies, your constructive contributions… and to transform how we do politics in this country," Deputy Creighton told the crowd.

"To bring about a genuinely open, pluralistic democracy."
