City Council urged to remove 100 unused phone boxes

Dublin City Council is being urged to remove the 100 redundant Smart Telecom phone boxes around the city.

They have been out of use for more than five years and many of them have been vandalised.

However, the council says they are not its property, and the company that owns them plans to reuse them as part of a free Wifi network.
