Another patient at a Donegal nursing home has passed away, though the HSE says this case does not appear to be linked to a flu outbreak that killed six other elderly people at the same home.

Influenza A was responsible for the deaths of the three women and three men, all aged in their 80s and 90s, at the Nazareth private nursing home in Buncrana between March 22 and April 2.

The HSE said that a public health team is continuing to monitor the situation.
