The current big freeze has closed Belfast Zoo.
The Cave Hill site has seen a large amount of snowfall and, for safety reasons, the decision has been made to close the site to the public for the weekend.
The zoo's Christmas Wildlife Wonderland event has also been affected and anyone with a ticket for Saturday or Sunday should contact the zoo directly for more information.
Zoo manager Alyn Cairns said the animals are all safely tucked up, with warm indoor housing for those who need it - while others are enjoying the icy break - especially the penguins.
"We would like to apologise for any disappointment caused to the families who had booked tickets. Anyone who has booked the event can contact [00 44] 28 9077 6277 extension 203 to organise a refund," the zoo said.
