The banking inquiry will again discuss its plans to publish the controversial written statement to it provided by former Anglo Irish Bank boss David Drumm.
Last night the DPP informed the committee she is opposed to the document being made public.
Meanwhile, the committee is due to hear from friend and former advisor to Brian Cowen, former Anglo chairman Alan Dukes and Mike Aynsley who was CEO of Anglo after it was nationalised.
The DPP raised concerns about the David Drumm statement yesterday morning, hours before it was due to be published.
After the committee asked for clarity on the position the DPP insisted she is opposed to the publication but, it is understood, did not give any reasons.
The committee is seeking further legal advice from its own legal team, to be delivered this morning.
One issue for the committee is that the statement mentions Fintan Drury, who is due to be questioned from 9:30am this morning.
Mr Drury - who was a non-executive director of Anglo – was also a friend and advisor to former Taoiseach Brian Cowen.
The inquiry is also to hear from former Anglo chairman Alan Dukes today and Mike Aynsley who was chief executive after Anglo was nationalised.
