Reporter with the Irish Examiner, Cormac O'Keeffe, says that investigators determined that the information most likely came from the gardaí.

"They spoke to a number of guards that would have been involved in the case one way or another, (they) spoke to them, examined mobile phones, laptops and other equipment as part of their investigation," he said.

"So that started at the very beginning of July, and has culminated in an arrest this morning of a garda."
