Air pollution in Irish pubs is down 83% since the start of the smoking ban, according to latest research by anti-smoking experts.

Air pollution in Irish pubs is down 83% since the start of the smoking ban, according to latest research by anti-smoking experts.

The Research Institute for a Tobacco-Free Society says its studies have also found a significant improvement in the respiratory health of pub staff since the ban was imposed more than three years ago.

Leading anti-smoking campaigner Luke Clancy says the findings provide dramatic evidence that the smoking ban has been successful in its objectives.
