Aer Lingus 'disciplinary process' cancelled

Meetings scheduled to be held with cabin crew and Aer Lingus management this morning have been cancelled.

Meetings scheduled to be held with cabin crew and Aer Lingus management this morning have been cancelled.

Managers were to hold the one to one "investigative meetings" with workers in a bid to get them to sign up to the new rosters.

It was widely believed that cabin crew who refused to sign would be the subject of disciplinary measures.

It is understood the cancellation of the talks is due to a lack of documentation.

Aer Lingus has been forced to cancel 12 return flights today, but all passengers have been re-booked on different flights today to their original destinations.

Some 175 cabin crew - who are members of the union IMPACT - have been removed from the payroll amid the ongoing dispute.
