Gerry Adams has urged the people of Ireland to vote no in the upcoming referendum on the Fiscal Treaty Compact.
Speaking at Easter Rising commemorations in Cork, the Sinn Féin President claimed a yes vote would "entrench" extreme austerity here.
The Louth TD said the Proclamation of Independence was as relevant now as it was in 1916.
Speaking to reporters in Cork, Adams said voters were rallying against Government policies.
"There is an organic movement building to reclaim Ireland…for people who are being robbed blind by goblin policies which are placing a huge, unbearable, crushing burden on lower- and middle-inclome families," he said.
