Revenue officers in Rosslare Europort seized over 17kgs of cocaine today.

As part of routine profiling operations, an Irish registered truck disembarking the ferry was scanned and searched, with the assistance of detector dog Ralph.

The drugs, with an estimated street value of approximately €1.2m, were found concealed in a side panel of the truck.

The driver, an Irish man aged hiss 50s, was arrested by gardaí and brought to Wexford Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.
