Star Wars joins Instagram with a Vader selfie

And you were worried about Disney's vision for the franchise…

Star Wars joins Instagram with a Vader selfie

When the news broke that Disney had bought the rights to Star Wars, there was a sudden disturbance in the force, as if millions of fanboys cried out in terror.

Good to see, then, that they've kept true to the roots of the franchise.

I mean, what says troubled, dark, powerful, and threatening like a selfie with an iPhone?

"Another day at the office. #StarWars #DarthVader #selfies #gpom" says the caption.

And while we're at it, that background seems to be Princess Leia's ship from the opening scene of A New Hope.

So we can only assume Vader has stopped to snap a pic of himself after choking a rebel commander to death in the hallway, and murdering countless troops.

As you do.
