Irish consumers love to get a bargain and last year spent €53m online on daily deals websites, according to deals aggregator site MyDealPage.ie.
That is a rise of 15% from the €46m spent in 2011.
While there have been complaints about the restrictions that come with such deals, it seems they are still popular with 4,500 sold daily last year.
However, consumers are warned to make sure they check out all the terms and conditions before they click to buy.
A recent report from Amarch, commissioned by UPC, reported that Irish consumers have spent €3.7bn online in 2012 and this is set to rise to €5.7bn by 2016
