Ninety people are feared to have drowned after a smuggler's boat carrying mostly Pakistani migrants capsized off Libya's coast, the UN's migration agency said.
International Organisation for Migration spokeswoman Olivia Headon said 10 bodies have washed ashore near the Libyan town of Zuwara following the tragedy early on Friday. Eight of the dead are believed to be Pakistani, with two from Libya.
Ms Headon said initial indications were that the boat had become unbalanced.
She said Pakistani nationals have been taking an increasing share among the number of migrants attempting to cross the Mediterranean to Italy and Europe via Libya.
