Munster hammered Wasps 45-7 in Pool A of the Heineken Champions Cup this afternoon.

That is four wins from four for Johann van Graan's side.

Two tries from Simon Zebo was the icing on the cake for a team who are in good form heading into the last 16.

Elsewhere, Connacht lost 37-31 to Stade Francais in their final pool game.

The westerners were already through to the knock-out stage prior to the game.

Kilkenny's Ballyhale Shamrocks beat Galway champions St. Thomas' by a single point in their AIB All-Ireland club senior hurling championship semi-final at Semple Stadium today.

TJ Reid with both Shamrocks goals in the game that finished up 2-15 to 20 points.

They will face Waterford's Ballygunner in the decider.

They beat Derry champions Slaughtneil 2-19 to 1-17 in their semi-final at Parnell Park earlier on.

Billy O'Keeffe with both goals for Ballygunner.


Seamus Power has gotten his final round of the American Express Championship underway.

The Waterford native starts the day 16-under-par, 4th on the leaderboard and just two shots off the lead.

McIlroy shot a 3-under-par final round of 69 while Lowry was 5-over today which left them both on 5-under-par.

Belgian Thomas Pieters won by a shot on 10-under.

Padraig Harrington finished up on 4-under.


The Paul Fahey trained 'Ballyshannon Rose' won the feature race at Thurles today the EBF Mares Novice Steeplechase.

That was after going off at a starting price of 7-to-2.
