Limerick have kicked off their Allianz National Hurling League Division 1B campaign with a win against Antrim.

The All Ireland champions got their season underway with a 1-36 to 1-09 victory.

In Division 1A, a late goal gave Wexford a share of the spoils in a 2-16 draw against Kilkenny..

Waterford were 12 point winners in a 3-20 to 0-17 win over Offaly.


Mickey Harte comes up against his former side in the Allianz National Football League.

Derry defeated Tyrone 1-12 to 0-7.

Meanwhile, Kerry have gotten their first win on the board with a 3-15 to 1-12 win over Monaghan with David Clifford coming off the bench to hit one of the goals.

Old rivals Roscommon and Galway shared the points in a 0-9 draw.


Jim McGuinness made it 2 wins from 2 in Division 2 with a 0-13 to 0-12 win over Cavan

Elsewhere, Louth have beaten Cork by 2-9 to 13 points in Ardee.


Three games are down for decision in Division 3 this afternoon.

Antrim defeated Offaly by 2-5 to 1-7, Westmeath defeated  Clare 1-11 to 0-13 and Sligo beat Wicklow by 2-10 to 1-11.

In Division 4 then, London have been beaten by Leitrim by 1-8 to 6 points and Tipperary lead Longford 0-7 points to 0-5.


Soccer

Arsenal brought themselves back into the title race with a 3-1 win over Liverpool.

In the day's other games, Manchester United defeated West Ham 3-0 with two goals from Alejandro Garnacho.

Chelsea suffered a 4-2 defeat at home to Wolves, with a hat-trick from Matheus Cunha.

In the other game, it finished Bournemouth 1 Nottingham Forest 1.
