John Stones put the visitors ahead in in the 23rd minute before Alexis Mac Allister equalised from the penalty spot shortly after the break.

With the result, Arsenal are top of the table on goal difference while Jurgen Klopp's side are second, a point clear of City.

Earlier on, Tottenham got what could prove to be a massive win in the race for the top four.

They hammered Aston Villa 4-0 away from home to go within two points of the automatic Champions League qualification places.

Elsewhere, Brighton beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the Amex thanks to an own-goal from the Republic of Ireland's Andrew Omobamidele, while West Ham and Burley played out a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium.

Celtic beat Livingston 4-2 in their Scottish Cup quarter-final at Parkhead today. Rangers lead Hibernian 1-0 meanwhile in the second half at Easter Road.

Rugby

France beat Wales 45-24 in today's only Six Nations game. With the result in Cardiff, the hosts remain bottom of the table while the French go fourth.

GAA

Wexford have beaten Waterford 2-23 to 1-23 in their Division 1A game in the Allianz National Hurling League at Walsh Park.

Earlier on, Cork beat Offlay 5-28 to 0-16 in Tullamore, while Clare enjoyed 0-19 to 0-16 win over Kilkenny in Ennis, meaning they remain unbeaten and are top of the table.

In Division 1B, Galway beat Dublin 1-23 to 1-15 at Pearse Stadium.

Golf

Shane Lowry is 2-over-par thru five hole of his final round at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Florida.

That leaves him 7-under-par all round, in a tie for third and three shots off leader Scottie Scheffler.

Rory McIlroy and Seamus Power are both level-par playing their final rounds.

Tom McKibbin finished up on 19-under-par at the DP World Tour's Jonsson Workwear Open in South Africa. That saw him finish in a tie for 9th and seven shots off winner Matteo Manassero of Italy.
