Terry and Lampard missing for Blues

Captain John Terry and record goalscorer Frank Lampard were absent on what could be their final match day as Chelsea players against relegated Cardiff at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Terry (knock), Lampard (illness) and Ashley Cole – included in a side showing six changes following last week’s goalless draw with Norwich – are all out of contract at the end of this season with the club still to clarify their futures.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Tomas Kalas, John Obi Mikel, Oscar, Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres all came into the starting XI.

Craig Bellamy started in a Cardiff side showing two changes following the 3-0 loss at Newcastle – Mats Daehli also came in – in what could be his final appearance for his hometown club.
