GAA
The first of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship preliminary quarter-finals have got underway.
A late point for Cork at Páirc Uí Chaoimh has seen them past Roscommon on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-16 to take a place in the All-Ireland Football quarter-finals.
Monaghan found their way by Kildare in a similar fashion, with a late point from Conor McCarthy securing a 1-11 to 0-13 win for the Ulster men.
The last of the day's preliminary quarter-finals, Tyrone beat Donegal 1-18 to 0-13 in Ballybofey.

In the All-Ireland Hurling Championship, Clare took a massive win over Dublin at the Gaelic Grounds to earn a spot in the semi-finals. Brian Lohan's men put 5-26 past the Dubs, who could only muster up 2-17 as reply.
In the second game there, Galway beat Tipperary 1-20 to 1-18. The two results mean Galway will face Limerick in the semi-finals, while Clare will play Kilkenny.
In Group Two of the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship, Kilkenny took a 4-13 to 1-4 win over Dublin at Parnell Park, while Tipperary beat Wexford3-15 to 0-12.
Rugby
Ireland have drawn 34-34 against England in their opening game at the under-20 World Rugby Championship in South Africa.
Next up for Ireland is Australia on Thursday at 10am Irish time.
Golf
Leona Maguire holds a two-shot lead in the third round of the Women's PGA Championship in New Jersey.
The Cavan native is six-under-par after five holes as she bids for a first major title.
Meanwhile, Stephanie Meadow is in a tie for third place on three-under.
