Piers Morgan did not bring up Daniel Kinahan in an interview with Tyson Fury which aired on Thursday night.

Kinahan, a man who has advised Fury in the past, was recently named as being a head of the Kinahan crime gang and hit with worldwide financial sanctions by the United States government, who have offered a $5 million (€4.6 million) reward for information on the group leading to the arrest and conviction of its leaders.

When asked about his links to Kinahan ahead of his heavyweight bout against Dillian Whyte last Saturday, Fury replied: “Zero, absolutely zero. It’s none of my business. I keep my own business to myself, that’s it.

“Has it been a distraction? Not really, it’s got nowt to do with me, has it?

“If I say, ‘There’s a war going on in Ukraine’, and people ask me about that, it’s got nowt to do with me. I keep my business to myself. I’ve got my own troubles to look after with six kids and a wife.

“I’ve got a lot more to think about than other people’s business. In my life, I’ve got a man who wants to punch my face in next week and I’ve got to deal with that. Anything else is out of my control.”

While the question was put to the heavyweight champion at this press conference, Morgan was the first journalist to have a sit-down interview with Fury since the Kinahan sanctions.

Despite this, he chose not to bring the topic up.

Morgan asked Fury if his retirement claims were serious, and 'The Gypsy King' insisted they were.

"This is the truth, the gospel truth, nothing but the truth. I'm done.

"There will always be somebody else to fight. When is enough enough? I'm happy, I'm healthy.

"I've got a beautiful wife and six kids."

Fury was the second guest on Morgan's new TalkTV show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, after his high-profile interview with former US president Donald Trump.
