Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho made his feelings about the current international break clear in a sarcastic Instagram post.

While bubbles in Premier League clubs have been quite successful, Covid-19 cases among players on international duty have been high.

Mourinho may be without two regular starters for Tottenham's clash with Manchester City on Saturday.

Son Heung-min had to quarantine in an Austrian hotel after six of his South Korea teammates tested positive for Covid-19.

Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland international Matt Doherty tested positive for Covid-19 today.

Along with a picture of himself at the gym, Mourinho wrote: “Amazing week of football. Great emotions in the national team matches, superb friendlies and total safety.

“Covid test results after matches been played, randomers running on the pitch while team sessions are taking place and much more.

“After another training session with only 6 players, it is now time to take care of myself.”
