Shelbourne pulled a goal back through Will Jarvis, but Damien Duff's side could not find an equaliser as Boheimans claimed a deserved win.

Derry City couldn't capitalise on Shelbourne's defeat as a late goal saw them draw 2-2 with Drogheda United.

Drogheda went ahead after three minutes through Warren Davis, with Derry turning the game around through Michael Duffy and William Patching.

An 87th minute goal from Frantz Pierot gave Drogheda a point and means Derry are five points behind Shelbourne.

Shamrock Rovers moved up to third after a 3-0 win over Sligo Rovers at Tallaght STADIUM.

Graham Burke gave the champions the lead after 36 minutes, with two goals in the second half from Aaron Greene ensuring Stephen Bradley's side ran out as winners.
