What the papers say

David Alaba could be heading to the Premier League when his contract expires at Bayern Munich, the Daily Telegraph says. The paper said Chelsea could beckon for the 28-year-old, but his demands of a £400,000-a-week contract are proving a sticking point.

Chelsea are also said to be interested in French defender Ibrahima Konate writes the Independent, but would face competition from both Liverpool and Manchester United for the 21-year-old, who is currently on the books at RB Leipzig.

Inter Miami could be looking to England for some signings, with the Daily Mail reporting that Kieran Gibbs could be making the move to the MLS side when his West Brom deal expires in the summer.

The paper also said that talks between David Beckham’s MLS outfit and Ryan Shawcross are continuing. Shawcross, 33, has been on the books of Stoke since 2008 and has made 375 appearances for the Potters.
