Down senior football manager Paddy Tally's had his suspension for discrediting the association reduced from twelve to eight weeks.

The twelve-week ban was handed down by the Association after the Down squad gathered at Abbey CBSS in Newry last month - going against the GAA's ban on collective training during the Level 5 lockdown.

The ban was reduced after last night’s Central Hearings Committee meeting and Tally can appeal his two-month ban before the Central Appeals Committee.

An eight-week suspension would see Tally miss Down’s three group fixtures in Division 2 of the Allianz League. day over the last two weeks, two-thirds were coming from holiday destinations, the spokesman said.
