Maughan makes one change

Mayo boss John Maughan has made one change from the side that defeated Fermanagh for Sunday's All-Ireland football final against Kerry at Croke Park.

Dermot Geraghty is a surprise inclusion at corner-back, with Conor Moran making way for the Shrule-Glencorrib man.

Fergal Kelly retains his place, partnering Ronan McGarrity at midfield, to the exclusion of David Brady.

Brady's name was announced in the midfield berth last night initially, but a second announcement stated Kelly would start the game.

A similar incident occurred in the build-up to the semi-final, when Kelly was drafted into the line-up at the eleventh hour as Brady was dropped from the side that was named earlier that week, amid rumours of a rift between the Ballina Stephenites clubman and Maughan.

Trevor Mortimer is at full-forward, flanked by his brother Conor and Brian Maloney.

Team skipper Fergal Costello, who lost his place after the quarter-final tie with Tyrone, does not make the starting fifteen.

Defender Gary Ruane will deputise in his absence, although it is unclear who will lift the Sam Maguire Cup should the westerners win.

MAYO (SF v Kerry): P Burke; D Geraghty, D Heaney, G Ruane; P Kelly, J Nallon, P Gardiner; R McGarrity, F Kelly; J Gill, K McDonald, A Dillon; C Mortimer, T Mortimer, B Maloney.
