LUAS tram undergoes first full trial run

One of the trams due to be used on Dublin’s new LUAS system has undergone its first complete trial run on the Sandyford line.

One of the trams due to be used on Dublin’s new LUAS system has undergone its first complete trial run on the Sandyford line.

Transport Minister Seamus Brennan was at the terminus in St Stephen’s Green to greet the arrival of the tram.

The event was originally planned for last Thursday, but was postponed following the Madrid bombings.

The Sandyford to St Stephen’s Green LUAS line is due to open to the public at the end of June.
