Proclamation will miss the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on Saturday week and head to Royal Ascot instead.
The four-year-old, winner of the Sussex Stakes last term, wintered in Dubai after being recruited by Godolphin and connections had been pointing him towards next weekend’s Group One event over a mile.
However, the King’s Best colt will now be re-routed to the Queen Anne Stakes at the Royal meeting on June 20.
Racing manager Simon Crisford told www.godolphin.com: “Proclamation showed in his last piece of work that he is not quite ready for a race like the Lockinge.
“We are planning to give him more time and his aim will now be the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.”
