Juan Mata and Demba Ba start for Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in tonight’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Mata replaces Kevin de Bruyne and Ba begins up front in place of Fernando Torres in the two changes from Sunday’s win over Hull against a Villa side beaten 8-0 on their most recent trip to Stamford Bridge, but buoyed by an opening-day victory at Arsenal.

Villa have named 10 of the players who started last Saturday’s 3-1 win at the Emirates Stadium, with Ciaran Clark starting in defence in place of Nathan Baker, who injured an ankle in the triumph.

Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Lampard, Oscar, Mata, Hazard, Ba.

Subs: Mikel, Schurrle, De Bruyne, van Ginkel , Lukaku, Schwarzer, Azpilicueta.

Aston Villa: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Luna, El Ahmadi, Westwood, Delph, Weimann, Benteke, Agbonlahor.

Subs: Bennett, Okore, Bacuna, Helenius, Steer, Sylla, Tonev.

Referee: Kevin Friend (Leicestershire).
