The bag of Oscar goodies given to George Clooney has fetched $45,100 (€37,200) at an online auction to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
The auction for relief organisation United Way was extended into the early hours of yesterday morning due to the high volume of bidders.
The bag contained a host of items including a BlackBerry 8700c, a Kay Unger kimono and a Tahitian-pearl necklace.
Clooney won the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his role in Syriana at the ceremony earlier this month. As Bob Barnes, Clooney portrays a CIA agent who finds himself at the centre of a conspiracy to guarantee US access to foreign oil.
