Linas Selection, who missed last year’s St Leger through injury, is likely to sidestep the Vodafone Coronation Cup at Epsom on June 2.

The four-year-old is back in training with Mark Johnston but could wait until Royal Ascot before returning to the track.

Gary Coffey, racing manager to owner Renata Jacobs, told the Racing Post: “Linas Selection had problems last year but he’s still with Mark.

“We’re looking at the Hardwicke Stakes but that’s not firmed up yet.”
