Ryanair has said it will start operating flights to and from Bremen in northern Germany.
The Dublin-based discount airline said it will start flying from Bremen Airport in April 2007 using three Boeing 737-800 planes along nine European routes.
The airline purchased a terminal facility at the airport.
The routes will include flights to and from London, Norway, Spain, Finland, Latvia and Italy.
The airline expects to handle more than one million passengers annually by 2009.
The base will be the airline’s second in Germany.
It currently operates flights to and from Frankfurt Hahn Airport, about 68 miles east of Frankfurt.
