Bohemians have announced this morning that Roddy Collins is no longer manager of the club.
The departure of Collins from Bohs was confirmed through a statement released by club secretary Gerry Cuffe.
It ends Collins’ successful reign at the club during which he brought them to their first league win in over 20 years last season.
The statement said: "On 15th May, the Management Committee authorised the club’s officer to meet with Roddy in an attempt to ascertain his plans and to hopefully negotiate a new contract.
"The President and Secretary of the cub contacted Roddy and arranged to meet with him together with other officers of the club. Unfortunately, Roddy did not attend this meeting, nor did he subsequently contact the president or secretary. It is understood he then went on holidays on 21st May.
"The Management Committee came to the conclusion that Roddy did not wish to remain manager of Bohemians and had little option but to consider other alternatives for the sake of the club’s future, especially with our first Champion’s League fixture due on 11th July."
