Billy Woods hit a brace as Cork moved up to second in the table with their biggest win of the season.

The lead came on 22 minutes when Woods linked with George O'Callaghan to hit a stunning 30-yard shot to the net.

John O'Flynn then extended City's lead a minute before the break when chipping Mick Dempsey from 25 yards with the ball going if after striking both posts for his eleventh goal of the season.

Sean Francis punished a mistake to reduce the deficit on 59 minutes, but it was all over for Town two minutes later when Phil Keogh was sent off for an altercation with the City bench.

Woods hit home a free kick to seal the win on 82 minutes with Kevin Doyle rowing in with the fourth in stoppage time.
