Man fights for life after head injuries

A Co Limerick man is fighting for his life after he sustained head injuries during an attack in the early hours of this morning.

A Co Limerick man is fighting for his life after he sustained head injuries during an attack in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí in Bruff said the 32-year-old man from Kilfinane was the victim of a serious assault shortly before 4am.

It's believed he was hit in the back of the head with a blunt instrument.

The man has since been transferred from Limerick Regional Hospital to Cork University Hospital.
