The young Korean who is battling to keep his card on the Davidoff Tour this year fired a five-under-par 67 in the Davidoff Tour event to lead by a stroke.

Ireland's Paul McGinley came in just four shots behind, with a 71.

Tucked in behind Oh are a group including Lee Westwood, Thongchai Jaidee from Thailand, and Korean Charlie Wi, who all shot 68.

California-based Oh is best known for being the youngest player to qualify for the US Open when he achieved the feat as a 16-year-old amateur in 1993.
